Safety Tips

Your safety is our priority. Please read these guidelines before meeting anyone from DateSpeed.

🔒 Protect Your Personal Information
  • Never share your home address, workplace, or financial information with someone you haven't met in person.
  • Use DateSpeed's messaging system — avoid moving to personal email or phone too quickly.
  • Be cautious of anyone who asks for money, gift cards, or financial help. This is a common scam.
📍 Meeting in Person
  • Always meet for the first time in a public place — a café, restaurant, or busy park.
  • Tell a friend or family member where you're going and who you're meeting.
  • Arrange your own transportation — don't rely on your date to pick you up or drop you off.
  • Keep your phone charged and accessible.
  • Don't feel pressured to stay if you feel uncomfortable. It's always okay to leave.
🚩 Recognizing Red Flags
  • Profiles with very few photos or photos that look like stock images.
  • Someone who avoids video calls or meeting in person after extended messaging.
  • Requests for money, even with a compelling story.
  • Pressure to move off the platform quickly.
  • Inconsistencies in their story or profile details.
🛡️ Reporting & Blocking
  • Use the Report button on any profile to flag inappropriate behavior.
  • Block users who make you feel uncomfortable — they won't be able to contact you.
  • Our moderation team reviews all reports and takes action on violations.
🆘 Emergency Resources
  • If you are in immediate danger, call 911 (US) or your local emergency number.
  • National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-7233
  • Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741
